Solar Punk was founded by athletes who trained outdoors every day and couldn't find a sunscreen that actually worked. Every regular sunscreen melted in 30 minutes. Stung the eyes. Left white marks on dark skin. Came in tiny 150g tubes.

So we built one that didn't.

Consumer sunscreens are formulated for 20 minutes of beach walking. We built Solar Punk for people who take sun exposure seriously because their sport demands it.

2022 — The Problem
Couldn't Find the Right Product
Founders — all regular outdoor athletes — spent a summer burning through every sunscreen brand available in India. None survived more than one intense training session.
2023 — Research & Formulation
Built From the Ground Up
Partnered with a dermatology-grade formulation lab. Spent 14 months testing formulas with athletes across cricket, running, cycling, and football. Rejected 9 formulas before finding the one.
2024 — Lab Certification
SPF 50+ PA++++ Certified
Independent lab testing confirmed SPF 50+ and PA++++ ratings. Sweat resistance validated. No white cast verified across 12 Indian skin tone testers. Formula locked.
2025 — Launch
Solar Punk Goes Live
Training Sunscreen SPF 50+ PA++++ launches at ₹499. Available online and at sports retailers across India. The first product in a complete outdoor athlete protection system.
